Corrections

If a funded ratio, unfunded liability, ARC payment rate, 1-year or 5-year investment return, ranking, or state aggregate on PlainPension looks wrong, report it with enough detail to reproduce the page and compare it with the Public Plans Database (Boston College Center for Retirement Research / NASRA / MissionSquare Research Institute). The same process is documented in our editorial and corrections policy.

How to report

  1. Report. Email hello@plainpension.com or use the contact page with the page URL, the figure that looks off, and what you think it should be.
  2. Source. Include a link to the Public Plans Database record, the plan's published actuarial valuation, or another official source you think we should match.
  3. Scope. Say whether the issue is a raw PPD field, a derived ranking or state aggregate, or a stale vintage badge.

What happens next

We verify reports against the published PPD source and correct confirmed issues in the canonical database or pipeline so affected pages update together. Material fixes are noted on the public data changelog, which already records the 2026-08-09 dual-window vintage stamp fix, the hreflang path gate, and the 2026-07-23 ARC-coverage repair. PlainPension is an informational public-pension data reference, not financial, investment, or retirement advice.

When the figure is correct on our side but the upstream PPD release is stale or the plan has not yet filed a newer valuation, we will say so and point you to the official record. Plan sponsors who need to change their government filings must update them through their actuary and the Public Plans Database process; we mirror the public file and cannot rewrite an official valuation on their behalf.

For how figures are derived, see the methodology page. For publisher accountability, see About PlainPension.
